We’re Andre and LaTisha Amoor, and this is the life we chose on purpose.

HOW IT STARTED

The expected path was right there. We didn’t take it.

We were both working remotely from Colorado — two kids, one barely five months old. Good life. Good mountains. Andre (as a snowboarder) loved the winters. But when we got honest with ourselves, the life we were building didn’t quite fit. The hustle. The pressure to accumulate. The idea that being busy meant you were doing something right. We wanted something slower, richer, and more intentional — more experiences, less stuff. More presence, less performance.

Not restless. Not ungrateful. Just clear.

So we made a decision. Within four months, we were on a plane.

We wanted to raise our kids inside the world, not just reading about it. To learn other languages by living them, to understand other cultures by becoming part of them — even briefly. To have the kind of unhurried family time that doesn’t fit inside a weekend.

We wanted a home base that nourished everyone — mind, body, and soul. We believed that place existed. We went looking for it.

WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR

More time. More world. More life.

THE WAY WE DO THIS

We don't do tourist. We do neighbor.

We don’t visit places — we move into them. We find the local markets, the hiking trails, the families who actually live there. We learn the language through life — Andre came in fluent in Spanish, and through full immersion — 100% Spanish-speaking schools, activities, and friendships — the girls picked it up and LaTisha became conversational. No formal lessons. Just living.

We are deliberate about schools — every one has been alternative, Earth-based, play-centered, and rooted in local culture. That’s a non-negotiable wherever we land.

And when our third child arrived, we didn’t pause the life — we expanded it. Still moving, still choosing this intentionally.

WHY WE’RE SHARING THIS

People started asking. So we started answering.

This life is not for everyone. But if something in you recognizes it — whether you've been quietly dissatisfied with the expected path or you simply believe there's a bigger, richer version of family life available to you — then the how is more learnable than you think. It doesn't require being wealthy. It doesn't require knowing anyone who's done it. It requires being willing to ask a different question and brave enough to act on the answer.
